Membership of the Mackay Chamber of Commerce provides businesses throughout our region with unique opportunities to improve their operations and to network at all levels - from local to international spheres.
Membership not only provides an opportunity to keep abreast of local issues but also helps create a strong business community group that holds a much stronger independent lobby.
As well as acting as a facilitator and promoter of members, the Mackay Chamber of Commerce offers members the following benefits:
- Regular network opportunities such as lunches and breakfasts which are addressed by high profile guest speakers, tackling issues of current relevance. Such opportunities allow members to meet, interact and often conduct business they may not otherwise do. Social functions include after work drinks to extend networking opportunities and cement social bonds.
- Training and information seminars on a range of legislative and compliance issues. Seminars are conducted regularly to assist members in understanding their current obligations.
- The Chamber plays a key role in marketing the city to further investment, trade and tourism opportunities. These investment opportunities pave the way for future business development in the region. We represent the Mackay business community on the board of various bodies and we are an instrumental voice for business in our region.
- Business profiles are enhanced. The Mackay Chamber of Commerce has the ability to speak publicly on issues affecting business confidence and investment in the region. Member feedback is important to you. If you have an issue facing your business – let us know and we may be able to assist you.
- Access to government using Chamber voice. The Mackay Chamber of Commerce has the support to speak on behalf of businesses to highlight the needs to regional businesses.
- Access to Chamber newsletter. The newsletter provides members with the ability to stay ahead of local business news and issues. The newsletter also provides the opportunity for members to advertise directly to interested recipients.

MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Mackay Chamber of Commerce holds Public Liability Insurance to the value of $20M.
Membership approval is at the discretion of the Management Committee.
Membership is confirmed once your completed application form has been submitted, payment has been received and approval was gained at the Management Committee meeting.
Upon approval of membership an invoice and receipt will be issued to the primary contact.
Membership is valid from 1 July to 30 June (of the following year) - Annual membership renewals will be sent out prior to the renewal date.
Annual membership renewal fees must be paid prior to 30 June of the next calendar year.
Membership may be cancelled or suspended if payment is not received within thirty days (30) of the membership renewal date (30 June).
No refund will be given for cancelled membership at any stage during your membership year.
Membership is non-transferrable.
Changes to our annual membership fee structure will take effect on the date of the annual membership renewal.
You MUST notify us of any changes to your contact details by letter or email.
We have the right to change services available to members at any given time.
Changes to this information may be made without prior written notice to existing members at the discretion of the Management Committee.
